Klockwork & Countryside

A litte bit about me...

This will get you up to speed on who I am and what I do. My name is Katelyn Locklear Bishop and I am all about anything dog. I  am married and have two children. My husband also helps me out around the show ring. Since childhood (Age 7!) I have been showing dogs. There is nothing in the world I am more passionate about or focused on. For most it is a business opportunity, for me its a chance to be in my seemingly natural habitat. I live to show and train dogs. The interactions with the dog, learning about each breed, coaching them properly through their roles in the show ring; I could go on for hours about all that goes into it and what intrigues me about it. It is a true passion.

That being said I enjoy working with all dogs and accept the challenge of learning about breeds I have never handled before. It would be my pleasure to get to know you and your pet and see where we can go in the show ring together!

Some of my past achievements are attending the Eukanuba in Tampa Florida for Junior showmanship in 2006 with a Dalmatian named Sonny. I was invited to the 2011 Wesminster dog show because my Harrier Dalesman and I earned the title of Number 4 Harrier in the country. While there we obtained an Award of Merit. I handled my Liver and White Dalmatian, Tanner, to his Championship in under fifteen shows, finishing with 4 majors under his belt. These are just a few highlights of my wonderful life a dog show handler. For detailed accomplishments please visit the Achievements page!

I own six dogs; 4 Dalmatians, 1 Rottweiler, and 1 German Wirehair Pointer. All my dogs are like family. They are part of our lives and are more than just the awards they bring home. We enjoy days spent at parks, swimming in the lakes, going for walks and runs. These dogs are amazing and I could not ask for better pets.
